 Final Images for Illustration

In the image on the right I wanted to use a historical building that had a clock. I chose Big Ben in London because it is a building that has with-held the "Test of Time." I wanted to slightly modernise the picture by changing the old clock to a digital one, which I have done using photoshop.

In the the image on the left I wanted to portray the "Test of Time" by finding things that also with-held the test of time. I have chosen 4 well known images which show the evolution of change in time. Coco-Cola, Cell Phones, Fashion, and of course Big Ben.

In this image I took a picture of my watch and used photoshop to create my own font.

My idea behind this image was to use the face of a modern digital clock, inside and old pocket watch. The idea of the wallpaper in the background is to give the picture an older look to it. I wanted my idea to come across as past and future combining. The past being the old wallpaper and the pocket watch, and the future being the digital clock.

My wall of ideas!

Here I was experimenting with writing different texts

Brainstorming.
Graphic design is a creative process - most often involving a client and a designer. We were given a metaphor in which our "client" asked us to design a font that we think represented our metaphor. My metaphor is "Test of Time"

Here is a little insight of what I have been up to in my two weeks of graphics!
