I quickly realized that the best time to capture large flocks of birds is in the evening at dusk, before they settle in the trees for the night. I love the shapes they make as I caught them flapping their wings.

I tried to re-create the birds I  captured in picture buy cutting out a large anount of tiny black birds out of paper, I stuck them onto a grey wall, similar to the color of the sky in my picture. My aim was to try and recreat the formation of the birds in the pictures.. I also hung birds from the ceiling using clear fishing wire. The birds hanging from the ceiling were hanging close to a door. Everytime the door would open or close it would cause the birds to move, causing movement and motion.

Prints
I based some of my prints around photographs I have taken. I used a similar color scheme of light blue fading into white as seen on some of the pictures in my previous post.

I love photography! Majority of my project is based around the photographs that I take of birds. The photographs that I take are the inspiration for my pieces of artwork.

The theme of our project is "Movement and Motion" I remember sitting in my dining room looking out the window thinking about what I could do for the project. I noticed a large sworm of birds swooping up and down into the feild in front of my house. I was facinated with the fluidity of their movents and some of the shapes they made. Weather it was one single bird or hundreds of them.. they are always moving! That's when it came to me, I was going to base my project around birds!
